About us
Get to know the "Refaze"r Institute and how we make things happen.
What do we do at "Refazer"?
THE ANSWER IS UNANIMOUS: WE PROVIDE CARING WELCOME.
Since 1995, Refazer has been working, together with the "Fernandes Figueira" Institute - IFF (FIOCRUZ / RJ), a reference hospital for maternal and juvenile treatment, in support of low-income children and adolescents assisted by this institution, offering them and their families eventual benefits and providing a place where they feel welcomed and safe.
For assisted families, caring welcome are the words that summarize the work of "Refazer" Institute.
Our Mission
Promote the restructuring of families at social risk through the FCP - Family Care Program - in order to stabilize the health of children and adolescents in need, freeing hospital beds for the national Unified Health System network, giving priority to IFF - "Fernandes Figueira" Institute patients.
Our Vision
To be a reference, in the Third Sector, in continuously improving the social and economic aspects of the families with children and adolescents affected by highly complex diseases.
Our Values
Ethics, transparency, social responsibility and commitment of employee and volunteer teams to the families we assist.
Who is our team?
TRUST, LEARNING AND FINDING NEW PATHS.
The exchange of experiences is intense and the transformation processes add more value to our volunteer's work.
The word "volunteer" has its roots in tne Latin "voluntas", which means "will". Most of the staff at the Refazer Institute are volunteers who are there simply because they want to be, because they believe in the Institute's work and benefit from the interpersonal relationships established there. This makes the exchange between them and the assisted families to be genuine and based on mutual wellbeing.
Every day we witness new stages brought by challenges and achievements. People getting to know people, trusting, learning, teaching, finding a way. The exchange of experiences is intense and the transformation processes add more and more value to voluntary work. Solidarity, a single word translating all our daily lives.
